Jeff’s comprehensive approach to project management encompasses every phase, from initial scoping and stakeholder engagement to engineering reviews and operational testing. His leadership has led teams to achieve remarkable milestones, including:
- Innovative Underwater Cutting Technology: Designed, built, installed, and tested a 5-bladed underwater saw for precise cutting of used nuclear fuel to within 1/32 of an inch.
- Seismic Evaluations: Conducted thorough evaluations of nuclear power plant components and structures to assess seismic adequacy following beyond-design-basis events.
- Tornado Impact Assessments: Demonstrated the integrity of storage tanks and pipes subjected to simulated tornado missile impacts, including the force of a car traveling at 80 mph.
- Structural Resilience Design: Developed a robust structural steel barrier system to withstand postulated tornado missile threats.
- Shutdown Cooling Systems: Scoped elements of a beyond-design-basis shutdown cooling system at a nuclear facility.
- Regulatory Readiness: Verified commercial nuclear utilities’ preparedness for Nuclear Regulatory Commission inspections and rulemaking compliance.
